Skin care routine to be followed for healthy youthful skin

We spend a lot of money on expensive cosmetics and skincare products out there in the market but we fail to realize that healthy and beautiful skin begins with a good skincare routine.

We all know that we should wash and moisturize our face after getting out of bed and before going in bed but what to do in-between? 

Following are the basic skincare habits that everyone should practice for healthy and radiant skin :

1 . Wash your face with the cleanser of your skin type:

Using the right type of cleanser is the key to healthy and glowing skin. 

After thoroughly washing your face with the cleanser pat the skin dry with a soft towel. 

Don’t rub your face too much.

Always wash your face with normal water. 

Hot water expands your pores and cold water constricts your blood vessels and reduces circulation to the face.

2. Apply toner to the face :

It removes traces of dirt on your face no matter how well you cleanse your face. 

Not only this it also helps in balancing the skin pH thus making your skin healthy and soft. 

You should spray it all over your face and neck.

You can also apply it with the help of cotton.

Note: use toner when your skin is damp. It should be followed by a moisturiser or a serum.

3 . Use serum rich in vitamin c and hyaluronic acid :

Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid prevent fine lines and wrinkles on your face

While Vitamin c repairs the cells damaged by UV rays, the hyaluronic acid has humectant in it that provides moisturiser to your skin

Applying it twice a day makes your skin look more radiant and beautiful.

4 . Moisturiser :

After treating your skin with the above steps, it's time to moisturise your skin with a gentle moisturiser. 

This helps in locking the skin moisturiser and strengthens the skin barrier. 

It should not be very sticky, opt for a light gentle moisturiser made out of natural products. 

Note: Apply it twice a day i.e in the morning and before going to bed.

5 . SUNSCREEN  :

It's one of the most important steps

Without wearing sunscreen you should not step out of your house

Uv rays damage our cells and promote premature aging.

Therefore apply sunscreen 30 min before going out and if you are staying out for long you should re-apply it every 2 hrs.

6 . DIET :

Diet plays an essential role in healthy and glowing skin. 

You should eat plenty of fruits and vegetables that are rich in antioxidants and clean your skin from inside out. 

Add proteins and various supplements to your diet

Drink plenty of water daily

Water helps to remove toxins from your body.

7 . Night time routine:

The nighttime skincare routine is pretty much the same as the daytime routine. 

Steps are the same such as cleansing the face, then using toner, applying vitamin C and hyaluronic acid serum finally using moisturiser. 

But all of these steps should be followed after removing makeup because makeup can lead to skin irritation and cause your skin to age prematurely. 

Note: in between this skincare routine you can wash your face several times in a day without using soap or alcohol and paraben-free face wash.  

8 . Exfoliate :

You should exfoliate your skin twice weekly with a gentle scrub. 

It helps to reduce dullness by removing dead skin cells and improving skin tone.
